Congratulations to our PBL Junior High School Students of the Week for the week of January 6 - January 10.

Showing up for school every day is a big part of how well your child does, both in learning and in life overall. And to help them really shine, taking care of their health is key! This means eating right, getting enough sleep, staying active, and keeping clean – it all matters.

Congratulations to PBL Junior High School students who made the 2nd Quarter Straight A Honor Roll and Honor Roll! Great job, Panthers!

Knowledge is power, right? Do you enjoy competitively answering questions from all different categories? If so, then Scholastic Bowl might be for you! Coach Sawyer will hold tryouts in the library on Monday, January 13th, through Thursday, January 16th, and again on Thursday, January 23rd, from 3-5 pm. All 6th through 8th grade students are eligible to try out and may attend one, two, or all three tryout sessions.

High school students visited 8th grade students during advisory yesterday for High School Connections. The high school students shared information about the high school with the 8th graders and answered questions. They also shared their own personal experiences with transitioning from 8th to 9th grade. The high schoolers offered a lot of great information and advice.

📣 PBL Junior High would like to honor, recognize, and thank our amazing officials that we've had the pleasure of hosting over our winter seasons. The week of January 13 through January 18 is Officials Appreciation Week. Officials are mothers, fathers, husbands, wives, sons, daughters, and friends. These unique individuals officiate because they love the activity and have found a way to give back to the activity and the youth who play it. They spend many nights away from their families each week to provide our students the
opportunity to participate. They have no stake in a contest other than their love
of the game. They are not going to get every call right; they are human, but
without them, games cannot be played. Please show respect and appreciation to
all officials, not just during officials’ appreciation week, but every game. Go Panthers!

🐾 Scholastic Bowl is another great way to get involved at PBL Junior High. If you have questions about our Scholastic Bowl team please reach out to Coach Hillary Sawyer @ hsawyer@pblpanthers.org
