Good Evening, Earlier this evening, PBL administration assisted the Paxton Police Department in the investigation of an alleged threat of a school shooting at the high school that was widely shared on social media. PBL takes all threats seriously. At this time we do not have information that leads us to believe this threat to be credible. PBL will be in session tomorrow. Out of an abundance of caution, all bags will be searched before entering the high school and the Paxton Police Department will have an increased presence on campus tomorrow. The senior high was searched this evening. If you do not feel comfortable sending your child to school tomorrow, please keep them home. If you, or your child, have any further information regarding this matter, please contact the Paxton Police Department or the PBL School District.

The dashboard was created to track and communicate COVID cases and school exclusions for PBL students and staff. This site will be updated each Tuesday, however parents or staff will be contacted immediately if their child or the staff member is deemed a close contact and is being excluded. All final decisions regarding close contacts and quarantines/exclusions is made by local health departments. Please continue to monitor the PBL website and social media sites for updates . Good afternoon, We are excited to kickoff the 2021-2022 online registration process. Returning PBL student registration will be completed online again this year. PBL staff are working towards completing a Safe Return to Learn Plan. When the DRAFT plan is completed it will be posted on the district website, social media sites and emailed to our families and staff. As we did last year, time will be provided to give feedback to the plan prior to being approved by the PBL board of education at a public and open meeting.
