Due to forecasted deteriorating weather conditions throughout the day tomorrow, Wednesday, February 12, PBL will have an early dismissal. Clara Peterson will dismiss at 12 o'clock, PBL high school at 12:10, and PBL junior high school at 12:15. If conditions deteriorate quicker than expected then these dismissal times could be adjusted to earlier in the day, which will be communicated as quickly as possible. Pleas be safe out there! Have a good evening.

The Ford County Attendance Initiative would like to give some tips to help students get to school as much as possible and limit our chronic absenteeism! Lay out clothes and pack backpacks the night before school. Establish a bedtime and morning routine. Plan trips and appointments outside of school hours if possible. Minimize screen time before bedtime to help achieve restful sleep. Ask school staff to help if your child is having anxiety about school. Have a back up plan to get to school if something comes up. Let's work together to help better student attendance at our schools. Be Present, Be Powerful!

This week was National School Counseling Week, which highlights the unique contributions of school counselors across the country. They help students achieve school success and plan for the future. A big thank you to Mrs. Johnson, Kristin Oyer, and Lisa Niewold for all they do to support students, staff, and families in our schools and district.

PBL is taking applications from anyone interested in serving on the Alumni Hall of Fame committee. To provide representation to all communities in the district, preference will be given to those with a tie to Buckley. Apply using the link below.

Happy 100th day of school! We've had a great school year so far and hope the rest is just a great!

Bus routes 1 and 4 had to be combined this morning so may be a bit delayed from usual pick up times. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Due to continued extremely cold temperatures, all practices and games for the remainder of Tuesday, January 21 and tomorrow morning are canceled.

Due to extreme temperatures, PBL will utilize e-learning on Tuesday, January 21. Students should have paper packets at home already, or have access to the needed materials online. If there are any questions, please email the teacher directly between 8:00 and 1:00 on Tuesday.
Since temperatures do not drop until overnight, all practices and games for Monday, January 20 are still on as scheduled. All morning activities for Tuesday, January 21 are canceled. A decision will be made later in the day tomorrow about afternoon and evening activities. Stay warm!

Don't miss the PBL FFA Farm Toy Show! Feb 8th, 9am, High School Gym.

Good morning. Just a heads up that bus four may be running a little late this morning. Sorry for the delay.

Showing up for school every day is a big part of how well your child does, both in learning and in life overall. And to help them really shine, taking care of their health is key! This means eating right, getting enough sleep, staying active, and keeping clean – it all matters.

As we start the morning commute, the light snow is making the roads a little bit slick. Please take your time and be safe this morning. Let's have a great last day before heading to winter break!

Huge congrats to our 15 State Scholars! That's DOUBLE last year's number! These students represent the top 10% of HS grads in Illinois. They've shown exceptional academic achievement and dedication to their studies. We're incredibly proud of their accomplishments and excited to see what they'll achieve in the future!

Good morning! As we start the final week before winter break, I want to remind everyone that Friday will be an early dismissal day. The dismissal times will follow the same schedule as our typical Tuesday early outs:
• CP: 1:30
• HS: 1:40
• JH: 1:47
Let’s make it a great week!

As we enter the winter months, be prepared for inclement weather and do your best to stay healthy. Attendance is still very important at this time of year!

Just a heads up that bus 3 is running a little behind this morning. Sorry for any inconvenience. Have a great Tuesday!

PBL was saddened to learn of Mike Tipsord's passing late last week. Tips is a 1971 Paxton grad who worked locally and has assisted with the PBL cross country and track teams since 2007. His impact on the youth in these programs is immeasurable.
