On May 19, 2024 in Gibson City, Illinois, PBL students and staff were recognized at the Governor Thomas Ford Chapter Daughters of the American Revolution Student Awards Program. This program was to honor the award recipients of the American History Essay Contest and Junior American Citizens Contest.
Hilary Sawyer & Jena Schaumburg, were recognized for their efforts in promoting the American History Essay Contest and the Junior American Citizens Contest.
The students that were recognized at this awards ceremony were:
Graphic Novel: Emeric Heiser (3rd) and Sophia Rebollo-Olivares (8th)
Poster Contest: Kameron Kief (6th), Petelo Koli-Tahi (3rd), Devyn Lundquist (8th), Rex Reber (4th), Ben Strebeck (9th)
Stamp Contest: Seth Otto (5th), Adam Reinhart (5th), Lukas Reynolds (6th), Ella Strebeck (8th)
Short Story Contest: Dawson Sorenson (3rd) and Tamatoa Suaava (3rd)
Poem Contest: Elizabeth Sawyer (5th), Lilly Schaumburg (8th), Makenna Stout (8th)
Digital Contest: Landry Waugh (5th)
