Each month, the Junior High selects students from each grade level as students of the month. Teachers select the students, and it is an honor to receive this recognition. Overall, this is a great way to recognize students who go above and beyond. Selected students are given a certificate, have their picture put in the hallway, on the website, and in local news media, and have lunch purchased for them at school by our student council.
For our November Student of the Month, Representative Jason Bunting visited our school and handed out the awards to students. Representative Bunting visited the junior high as part of the Illinois Principals Association - Principal for the Day Program.
