Students at PBL JH had the unique opportunity to experience hands on learning and career exploration by participating in the Trade-Up program.
Trade-Up is a partnership between Education for Employment System #330, Parkland College, and the East Central Illinois Building and Construction Trades Council. Students learned about career paths and participated in hands-on stations organized by representatives from the building trades and Parkland College career and technical education programs. Over 200 students from 16 area schools attended the event. Stations included: Emergency Medical Services, Industrial Technology, Welding, Cement Masons/Plasterers, Plumbers + Pipefitters, Ironworkers, Carpenters, Painters, Bricklayers, Automotive, Surveying, Electricians, Roofers, Drones/Precision Agriculture.
