There is still time to sign up for free dental services. Orland Park Dental Services and The Illinois Department of Public Aid have arranged for dental services for eligible children. These services may include an exam, cleaning, fluoride treatment, and sealants (a protective coating on the chewing surfaces of back teeth), as well as the application of Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF) to treat the progression of tooth decay. Licensed dentists, hygienists, and assistants will come to your child’s school with portable equipment. The form can be filled out on a computer or phone, and we also have paper copies in the main office. Here is a link to the dental program to register: https://bit.ly/3JTxNeo

Good evening,
We are implementing a new system for receiving bus updates, which will be accessible via our Rooms platform within the PBL App. We encourage you to download the app to remain informed about bus routes and all district-wide activities. Each route will have its own dedicated Room, and the Bus Garage will disseminate updates regarding any changes. This initiative aims to significantly expedite communication. We are pleased to launch this new system on Monday and hope you will download our app at: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.apptegy.pblcusd.

We would like to take this opportunity to recognize and thank Deb Cook, our dedicated School Psychologist, for her outstanding work and commitment to our students, staff, and families. School psychologists are vital members of our educational team, providing essential direct support and interventions to students while also collaborating with a range of professionals, including teachers, families, school counselors, and social workers, to enhance student support strategies. They are key players in improving school-wide policies and practices alongside administrators, and they expertly coordinate with community providers to ensure students receive comprehensive services.

Our 4th Grade Classes celebrated Day of the Dead on Friday the 31st. They learned about the beautiful traditions of Día de los Muertos and participated in a variety of fun activities. They made and painted sugar skulls with awesome designs. They also created altars for their loved ones and shared stories about them. They even got to taste some authentic pan de muerto! We're so proud of our students for embracing this cultural tradition and honoring their loved ones with respect and love.

Happy National Custodian Day! A huge thank you for all you do. You make a tremendous difference in our schools and have a great impact on our students. We appreciate you keeping our hallways clean and always lending a hand for school events.

The Kindergarten classes celebrated introducing all of our letters! The Kindergarten classes had an Alphabet Fashion Show! They designed their letter vests at home and brought them to school to share! Mr. Wright presented each student with a certificate! The ENTIRE school then filled the hallways and the commons at Clara Peterson to cheer on our young Panthers as they had a LETTER PARADE! Our Kindergarten students were so proud and excited! It was an AMAZING day!
