Our hearts are full! As Teacher Appreciation Week comes to a close, we want to give a massive shout-out to the incredible community partners who stepped up to make our educators feel like the superstars they are. 🌟

Our Kindergarten classes had an amazing trip to Miller Park Zoo! The students had the opportunity to participate in a zoo encounter class where they interacted with a guinea pig, a box turtle, and even a snake! They explored the entire zoo and enjoyed observing all of the animals. Some class favorites included the flamingos, the river otter, and the snow leopard! Students also enjoyed a picnic lunch with their friends and had fun playing on the huge playground. It was a fantastic day filled with fun, friendship, and hands-on learning!

🍎 It’s Teacher Appreciation Week at PBL!
Our teachers are the heart of PBL School District. From sparking "lightbulb moments" in the classroom to being mentors, cheerleaders, and innovators, they go above and beyond every single day to support our students.

Now, it’s your turn to share gratitude and thanks for our teachers!

We’ve set up a Teacher Shoutout Form where you can leave a note of gratitude for a teacher who has made a difference in your child's life or our community. We will be sharing these messages with our staff throughout the week to show them just how much they mean to us.

📝 How to Participate:
Click the link below to access our Google Form.

Write a quick note highlighting a teacher’s hard work, a kind gesture, or a great classroom memory.

Hit submit and help us make their week unforgettable!

Our second graders had a "gouda" time partnering with the St. Louis Dairy Council this year for the Adopt-A-Calf Program! 🐄 We learned all about dairy farming, got monthly updates on our adopted calf, and even used our $25 gift card for a delicious cheese tasting lesson! The students sampled and ranked seven different cheeses. What a yummy treat!

Our Kindergarten surgeons in Mrs. Gooden's class successfully completed "Vowel Surgery" last week! This fun, hands-on activity challenged students to figure out the missing vowel in CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) words. What a smart group of future doctors and readers!

Dear Parents,

Your child will be participating in the 2026 Panther Walk during PE in April! We have envelopes available for cash/check donations if needed! Each child will get to enjoy the bounce house and a sno cone in May regardless of donation amounts!

To add your child as a participant, please follow these 3 easy steps:

Go to this link -https://app.99pledges.com/fund/clarapete26/addme
Enter your child’s name, enter your email(s), and select the group your child belongs to. (Your child’s teacher is in the drop down menu)

Click “Add” > this will take you to your newly created pledge page!
All you have to do is make a donation for whatever amount you can, and share your child’s pledge page link with friends and family. We are shooting for 100% participation so no amount is too small.

All the proceeds from this fundraiser will go directly to Clara Peterson PIT CREW! We help to get teachers what they need in the classroom! PIT CREW also pays for field trips, teacher requests, and various activities within the school!

Thanks for your support!

Come join us April 10-12 for our Into The Woods Musical. This will be hosted in the PBL High School Gymnasium. Tickets are $8 for Adult and $5 for students. Cash only. We are excited to share the hard work of our theater students with you! As you plan your family’s visit, we want to provide a quick content "heads-up." While Act 1 is a whimsical journey through classic fairy tales, Act 2 explores more mature themes, including grief and the loss of major characters. Because of these heavier elements, parents may find the second half of the show less suitable for very young children. We encourage you to use your discretion to ensure the best experience for your family.
