The IESA recently released a statement concerning boys’ basketball and girls’ volleyball. Although these sports were set to begin on January 4th and January 11th respectively, all IESA activities are currently paused due to the current Tier 3 mitigations that are in place for Illinois.

If the IESA allows us to play, 7th and 8th grade boys’ basketball is scheduled to begin on January 4th and 7th and 8th grade girls’ volleyball is scheduled to begin on January 11th. Students who have signed up to try-out should make sure they have their physicals and insurance waivers on file in my office prior to their try-out date. I will post updates from the IESA as they become available.

Here is the PBL JH Remote Learning Schedule for Monday, Nov. 23 & Tuesday, Nov. 24. All students should be logged into their 1st hour class at 8:00am on Monday to start our day. Classes for students start on the hour at 8am, 9am, 10am, 11am, and 12pm.

PBL will once again be offering breakfast and lunch to our families during remote learning days. If you would like to receive five days of breakfast and lunch for next week please complete the survey below. We will deliver meals to the communities of Loda, Buckley, Roberts and Clarence starting at 10:00 am Monday, November 23. At PBL JH today we are participating in the "Principal for a Day" program sponsored by the Illinois Principal Association. Representative Tom Bennett will be meeting virtually with Mr. Callahan's 8th Grade Social Studies Classes to discuss overall civic engagement.

Tomorrow at PBL JH we will have a virtual assembly at 9am with Terrence Talley from the Relevant Speakers Network. To kick off the 2nd Qt. Terrence will be shaing a message of hope and to never give up. A big thank you to our Student Council for sponsoring this event.
