On Wednesday, April 17th Clara Peterson Elementary School and PBL Junior High School recognized two different students from each school at the Illinois Principals Association (IPA) Student Recognition Breakfast in Normal, IL at the Hancock Stadium Club located on the campus at Illinois State University. The teachers and administrators selected students for this honor because of their leadership characteristics in the classroom and their dedication and contributions to our schools.
At the recognition program different schools from the Corn Belt Region recognized students with a certificate of achievement, got to listen to a keynote speaker from the university, had a catered breakfast, and even got ice cream on the way back to school.

Don't forget to pencil in our Junior High Spring Concert on your calendars! It's going to be a delightful occasion celebrating both our talented students and the hard work they've put in.


8th grade students during the 4th quarter take a Project Lead The Way course called Medical Detectives with Mr. Johnson. In the 9 week course students play the role of real-life medical detectives as they collect and analyze medical data to diagnose disease. They also solve medical mysteries through hands-on projects and labs, measure and interpret vital signs, examine nervous system structure and function, and investigate disease outbreaks.










Yesterday, we kicked off our Girl's Basketball Pop-Up Camp with Coach Taylor Runyan leading the way! Girls from 5th to 11th grade joined in, practicing dribbling, shooting, and running some drills.

This past weekend the JH Jazz band performed at ISU Jazz Festival and received 4th place and at Central High School Jazz Festival the next day.



Hey all! Just a reminder that our PBL Junior High Book Fair starts today! The book fair runs from Friday, April 12th - Friday, April 19th and is open everyday from 8:05AM - 3:40PM. Tuesday the book fair will be open until dismissal, but closed from 1:55PM - 3PM. It will reopen at 3:00PM and stay open until 3:40 PM. We accept cash, credit, check, or E-Wallet payments. (Checks must be made out to PBL JH). The book fair is also a BOGO free book fair, which means that for every item purchased, you get an item of equal or lesser value for free!




Today is the last day of our March Madness events! Our students have spent the last week decorating their advisory doors with a team theme. There will be door judging happening today with our winners being announced Monday. Here are some cool pics we took!
