It is Homecoming Week for PBL Schools! PBL Junior High School's student council met and collaborated on some themes for each day of the week. Student and staff participation is completely voluntary and our student council is encouraging students and staff to show their school spirit and participate in the themed dress up days for the week! Go Panthers!

Our Junior High Scholastic Book Fair is happening tomorrow! Check out the online catalog and help your child discover their next favorite read. Studies show that kids read more when they choose their own books.

Today Ford County students will be reflecting on their attendance in the first 5 weeks of school. Students will be tracking how many days they have been present versus how many days they have been absent. At this point in the school year, missing more than three days in the first 5 weeks of school puts a student on track to being chronically absent. When your child returns home from school today, ask them about their attendance. #bepresentbepowerful

Congratulations to our PBL Junior High School Students of the Week for the week of September 9 - September 13 . Great job, Panthers!

💙PBL Junior High would like to honor, recognize, and thank our amazing officials and umpires that we've had the pleasure of hosting over our fall seasons. JH students who choose to participate in the 9th Annual Edible Books Festival are tasked with creating a representation of a book out of food. This could look like a book cover recreation, a pun or play on words in a book title, or creating a character, specific item, or concept in a book. The creations are typically made out of cake, but can be made with any food. Students are able to work individually or in a team of 2 with another PBL junior high student. Student creations must be school appropriate. This competition will take place on Tuesday, September 24th at the Book Fair Family Night. Students who want to participate should bring their creations to the library no later than 5:15 PM. Voting will take place from 5:30 to 6:00 PM, and winners will be announced at 6:15 PM. Anyone who is at the book fair during the voting window will be able to vote for their favorite creation.

Attending school regularly is extremely important to your child's academic success. Missing just two days of school a month can lead them to a student being considered a chronic absentee. Let's work together this school year to ensure our students are attending school regularly and making the most out of the 2024-2025 school year. #bepresentbepowerful
